You do get gold, XP, and a chance to level up/buy items.ĭid it break anything to, when you barely lost, just pretend you won at one difficulty lower and take your rewards and move on? Has anyone ever played with this modification? Did it break anything to, when you barely lost, just pretend you won at one difficulty lower and take your rewards and move on?Įdit: I got the itch, so we ended up replaying it at the same (+1) difficultly and ended up with more loot than the first time. We're thinking of house ruling it so we just pretend we succeeded and move on, and we get our gold/XP for where we were when we gave up (did not try to milk once we realized we were going to fail) for one difficulty lower (recommended difficulty) but not our bonus battle goal perk tick. What do y'all do when you fail? We're thinking of resetting it, but we feel confident that we would beat it at the same difficulty (1 lower would be easy). We absolutely crushed Scenario 9 (which is supposed to be one of the hard ones) and 10, so when we tried 11, we played at +1 difficulty, and just barely failed. We've been playing JotL, and at ~12 scenarios so far and only lost twice.
